As part of the events “Ideas change the world” organised by IFS, Laurence Allard, digital sociologist, will be speaking about
Her research themes include expressive digital practices, mobile and societies, Anthropology of data, sensors and other chips.
She published Téléphone Mobile et Création, in co-direction with Roger Odin, Laurent Creton, editions Armand Colin, in 2014 and Mythologie du portable, edition le Cavalier bleu, in 2010.
Having lived through the so-called web 1.0 and web 2.0 periods and developed numerous studies of practices and digital corpora, she has specialised in the uses of cellphones and the devices with which they are now associated (sensors, connected objects, virtual reality applications, etc.). The health crisis has accentuated her research, creations and reflections on the uses of cellphones and digital technology in times of pandemic.
