A Heartwarming Act of Solidarity 💝
As part of their humanitarian project, two students, Eve and Sophie, from the Humanitarian Student Group organized a donation drive to collect essential items for young children. 🧸📚👕
Toys, books, clothes, and other everyday essentials were generously donated and handed over to our partner association @alifelimited .
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our IFS kindergarten families, nearly fifteen bags were collected and delivered, allowing us to support families in need as Chinese New Year approaches.
We would also like to warmly thank our partner @cdgtaxi , who generously supported this initiative by providing transportation for our students and all the donated items.
A beautiful way to begin the Year of the Horse, with kindness, sharing, and solidarity. 🐎✨

🐎 Welcoming the Year of the Horse at IFS 🧧
Our students, from Kindergarten to Terminale, had the joy and surprise of enjoying the Lion Dance performances once again. 💫
The rhythmic drums, vibrant colors and powerful movements brought good luck, prosperity and joy to our community, creating a truly unforgettable moment for our students and staff.
Everyone wanted to get closer to the horse! 🐎✨
Did you know that in Chinese culture, the horse symbolises freedom, strength and perseverance? A powerful symbol to welcome a year full of movement and success!

Night Football at IFS ⚽🌙
On Friday, February 6th, @coach_nono69 , our football coach, organized a night football tournament at IFS, open to all high school students enrolled in AES Football and other sports programs.
The event was a real success, with 12 teams competing from 7 pm to 11 pm in a fantastic atmosphere of fair play, energy, and team spirit!
A big congratulations to the winning teams: ESA, Les Tigres, Cogito and Maya FC 🏆👏
This tournament also had a strong solidarity component. Students from Terminale Groupe Humanitaire took the opportunity to organize a collection of second-hand sports equipment (balls, rackets, protective gear, sportswear, etc.), in support of our partner charity 3 Pumkins.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, your generosity made a real difference! 💙
Special thanks to: Maxime Pilon – Humanitarian Coordinator, Nordine Talhi – Coordinator & Football Coach & Julien Terrier – AES Program Manager

Kindergarten Carnival: A Celebration Full of Colors and Smiles! 🎉
Our kindergarten students proudly paraded through Gymnasium 2900 alongside their teachers to celebrate Carnival in a joyful and musical atmosphere 🥳🎶
The parade was full of buzzing bees 🐝, funny mosquitoes 🦟, brave adventurers 🏕️, sailing boats ⛵, and stunning polka-dot costumes inspired by Yayoi Kusama 🔴⚪. Color, imagination, and energy were everywhere!
With dancing, giggles, and plenty of excitement, the students had an amazing time. The celebration ended with a special moment as they were reunited with their parents, sharing smiles, photos, and unforgettable memories together 💛
A wonderful carnival filled with creativity, energy, and happiness! 🎈✨

Asia-Pacific Volleyball Cup 2026 in Hong Kong – An unforgettable experience! 🏐
From February 1st to 5th, our IFS middle school students took part in the 3rd edition of the Asia-Pacific Volleyball Cup in Hong Kong, alongside seven other French international schools from across the region. 🌏
The tournament officially kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony, bringing together 180 players, a parade of all delegations, official speeches from AEFE and local representatives, and a traditional lion dance to bless the competition. The energy was incredible right from the start, with participating schools from Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Kyoto, Bali and Singapore.
Congratulations to the tournament champions:

Celebrating Mandarin Culture Through Creativity & Kindness 🌏✨
In the lead-up to this special time of year, our students have been bringing Mandarin culture to life through art, tradition, and generosity.
Our CE2 students created beautiful greeting cards, each featuring a hand-painted horse and a thoughtful message carefully written and attached with care. 🐎🎨
Meanwhile, our 5eme students, as part of their Mandarin Culture & Civilisation classes, crafted traditional red lanterns, Chunlian (Spring Festival couplets), and intricate paper cuttings to decorate not only our school, but also a local hospital, helping to brighten the days of people in need during this meaningful season. 🏮❤️
As part of their Civic Education (EMC), a group of Terminale students chose to get involved in a Humanitarian Group project and went to Crawfurd Hospital to meet the patients and personally share the creations made by the CE2 and 5eme students.
A wonderful example of learning with purpose and heart.
With the active involvement of their Mandarin teachers Mrs Chang and Mrs Chen, our students learned that culture is not only something to study, but something to share, using creativity to spread joy, connection, and hope.
We would also like to thank @cdgtaxi , who kindly provided transportation for our students to travel to the hospital. 🙏🚌

IFS Day – Part 2/2 🌍
One post was not enough to capture the richness of IFS Day, so here is the second part of our cultural journey around the world.
Once again, a huge thank you to all the families and community members who shared their traditions, stories, music, dances and flavors with our students. Your passion and generosity truly made this day unforgettable.
IFS Day is more than an event — it is a living reflection of our values: openness, respect, curiosity and learning through experience. 💙🌍

💙🌍 IFS Day Part 1/2 – A Celebration of Diversity, Community and Joy! 💙🌍
IFS Day was an unforgettable moment for our whole school community! The day took place in an incredible, joyful atmosphere, made possible thanks to the amazing involvement and commitment of our parents and the entire IFS community.
A total of 30 stands were set up:
France, China, Brazil, Bangladesh, Australia, Morocco, Canada, India, Spain, Chile, Taiwan, Greece, Mexico, Egypt, Germany, USA, Indonesia, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Guatemala, Korea, Portugal, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Algeria, Hong Kong, and Lebanon.
Each stand was beautifully prepared with traditional costumes, written materials on history, gifts and discoveries, flags, games and decorations, and delicious culinary specialties to showcase the traditions, origins, and cultures.
Our students from CP, CE1, CE2, CM1 and CM2 visited the stands in rotation with a special passport created for the occasion. At every stop, they learned about a new culture and had their passport stamped, turning learning into a real journey around the world. ✈️
IFS Day truly reflects the joy, cultural diversity, and spirit of our community, as well as our school’s philosophy of learning while having fun. It was a unique and meaningful experience for everyone, and one that will definitely be renewed next year! 🌟
Our sincere thanks and congratulations to all organizers, Johanna Boutard, the Parents’ Committee, and a huge thank you to the more than 100 parent volunteers who gave their heart and soul to make this day a success and a true celebration of multiculturalism, filled with joy, music, dance, and meaningful moments of sharing.

Our CE2 students explored Chinatown as part of a cultural and artistic outing 🌏🎨
They began their journey by wandering through the vibrant streets of Chinatown, stopping to observe the colourful murals 🖼️ that bring this historic district to life.
They then visited the Singapore City Gallery, where they discovered how the city has evolved through interactive exhibitions and impressive urban models.
The visit concluded at the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple 🛕, an iconic landmark of Buddhist culture, where students learned about spiritual traditions and admired the remarkable architecture.
Our Kindergarten students from Moyenne Section also enjoyed their own visit, discovering Chinatown through their own eyes and at their own pace.
Taking place just before Chinese New Year, this enriching experience offered our students a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere while connecting art, culture, and heritage. A meaningful and memorable learning adventure outside the classroom! ✨

From practice to success. 🧪
In the classroom: precision.
During the exams: confidence.
Earlier this year, our Terminale students successfully carried out the full synthesis of aspirin (acide acétylsalicylique) in their Physics-Chemistry lab among other practical work and classes.
A perfect reminder that they have the skills, the method and the mindset needed for the baccalauréat blanc - Mock exams this week.
Good luck to all our Terminales, you’ve already proven you can go all the way. 🍀

It’s a wrap for the first school trip of the year to Bintan! 🌴✨
Our CM2 students enjoyed an unforgettable adventure filled with discovery, teamwork and fun. From racing traditional jong boats and building sandcastles, to taking part in Olympiads (shoe-skiing, basketball, football, pétanque and archery), every moment was packed with excitement.
They explored a fishing village and learned how to build traditional fish traps, visited a local heritage museum, created papier-mâché using marine plants, and investigated coastal ecosystems through water quality experiments.
Highlights also included raft building and races, kayaking and dragon boat rides, local cooking workshops, coconut tree climbing, mangrove night cruises to observe fireflies ✨, and magical evenings around the campfire with music and grilled marshmallows.
A beautiful way to start the year: learning beyond the classroom and creating lifelong memories. 💙

Radio Horizons Démocratiques – Webradio Project 🎙️
As part of their EMC course, four Terminales students worked on a webradio project focusing on democracy in Asia.
Valentine, Charlotte, Louis and Charles produced two podcasts: one about Sri Lanka and one about Myanmar. For the Myanmar topic, they chose a creative format in the form of a fictional interview.
A great example of how our students engage with global issues while developing media and critical thinking skills. 👏 Well done to them!
