CE1 Students Explore the Wonders of Bird Paradise! 🐦🌿

Our CE1 students had an amazing day at Bird Paradise, Mandai Park, Singapore! They got to discover Singapore’s native birds, from colorful flamingos and elegant pelicans to fascinating birds of prey.

The highlights of the day included two spectacular bird shows, where our students watched hawks, vultures, and other incredible birds in action. 🦅💫

Students even got to identify the fastest, biggest, and most colorful birds, learning through play and discovery!

It was a day full of fun, learning, and unforgettable moments, as our young explorers deepened their knowledge about the amazing world of birds.

Supporting Multilingual Families at IFS 🗣️🧠

IFS Parents gathered in Amphi 3000 for an enriching conference on the joys and challenges of raising multilingual children, an event organised by the Commission Parents.

Led by Marion Dreux, Speech and Language Therapist, the session offered practical advice, key insights, and strategies to support children growing up with multiple languages.

From understanding how children acquire several languages to creating a supportive environment at home, families left with valuable tools to guide their child’s multilingual journey.

The evening concluded with an engaging Q&A session, giving parents the chance to share experiences and receive personalised guidance.

A big thank you to all the parents who attended and to the Commission Parents for this beautiful initiative!

Commemorative moment at the French Embassy 🎤

This 11 November, the Secondary Choir of Julie Demange had the honour of singing La Marseillaise at the French Embassy in Singapore, as part of the Armistice Day commemoration.

With emotion, respect, and remarkable poise, our students delivered a moving performance of the French national anthem. Their dedication and musical talent made this solemn occasion truly unforgettable.

A heartfelt bravo to all of them for representing our school and values with such dignity and pride. 🌟

Día de los Muertos at IFS: Honouring Life and Memory 💀

At IFS, the Spanish Department invited our students to discover and celebrate El Día de los Muertos, the traditional Mexican Day of the Dead. 🇲🇽✨

To honour this colourful and meaningful tradition, our 5emes students created beautiful calaveras (decorated skulls) and mini altares (altars). These artistic projects were inspired by the real altars, which include photographs of loved ones, their favourite food and drinks, candles, and vibrant orange flowers, all symbols of remembrance, love, and celebration. 🌼🕯️💀

A wonderful way to explore culture, creativity and the importance of memory through language learning and remembering those who inspire us, whether ancestors or iconic figures.❤️

A big shout-out to our students for their creativity, respect, and dedication! 👏

A Fun Day at IFS Celebrating Halloween! 👻

Our students celebrated Halloween with creativity and excitement!
Dressed in their favourite costumes, they enjoyed a day filled with laughter, imagination and spooky fun. 🕷️

Trick or treat! At the Kindergarten, students took part in themed activities, from colouring and Twister games to making ghost-shaped crêpes, reading Halloween stories, decorating their classrooms and playing fun interactive games. 🎨🥞📚

A wonderful way to celebrate togetherness, creativity and the Halloween spirit across our IFS community! 🧡

International Stress Awareness Week at IFS 🧘‍♂️

From Monday 3 to Friday 7 November, our IFS Counselling Centre (2C), with the support of our Pedagogical and Administrative teams, is leading a series of interactive and reflective activities to help students explore, reflect, and recharge. 🌿

Our Secondary students gathered in front of the infirmary to take part in stress-relief games and discussions about mindfulness and balance. From breathing exercises to stress personality quizzes, and even a “What stresses me right now?” wall, students are discovering practical ways to identify their stressors and boost their well-being.

Our youngest learners in Kindergarten also took time to reflect as they participated in an assembly against bullying and a dedicated session for the National Anti-Bullying Day, helping them understand empathy, kindness, and respect from an early age. 🌸

Lastly, the 2C Team prepared special Wellness Kits for The IFS staff community, a friendly reminder to pause, breathe, and recharge throughout the day. These kits offer simple tools to unwind and take a quick self-care break.

Taking care of ourselves is just as essential as supporting our students. 💙

It’s a wrap for THIMUN Singapore 2025! 🌐

From 27 to 31 October, IFS had the honour of hosting this year’s edition of THIMUN Singapore, an incredible week of diplomacy, debate, and collaboration on our campus! 🤝

Over 350 delegates from schools around the world, including around 30 IFS students, came together to engage in meaningful discussions on global issues such as human rights, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. 💬

This year’s special focus on “The Impact of AI on Humanity” sparked insightful reflections on how technology is reshaping our societies. 🤖

A huge thank you to all the participants, the IFS volunteers, the Ambassadors, the teachers and mentors, and all the staff who made this event such a success. 🙏
