Our students are proving that sport and solidarity go hand in hand. 💪🌏
Across different PROZAP competitions in Asia and grade levels, students are combining athletic achievement with meaningful community action through Student Life Council (Conseil de Vie Lycéenne) projects, in collaboration with Terminale students from the Humanitarian Group.
Ahead of their trips to Laos, Cambodia and other countries in the region, collections of equipment, clothing and school supplies have been organised. Each delegation travels with bags filled with donations, which are delivered to AEFE schools and then distributed to local charities selected by our Head of Student Life (Conseiller Principal d’Éducation) team.
A heartfelt thank you to M. Porro from Francoasia for his generous donation of school supplies, as well as to our families, students and PE teachers Nordine Talhi (@coach_nono69 ) and Loïc Kavala.
A special mention to Isabelle and Teresa, two of our students, for their unwavering commitment and support throughout these projects!
Through PROZAP, our students are not only competing, they are making a difference. 🤝✨

“Voyages en corps et en rythme” – A wonderful Invitation to Travel Through Dance ✨
What an artistic journey! Our students’ latest dance representation invited the audience on a vibrant exploration of styles, cultures and energies through movement. Designed by choreographer Rodolphe Viaud and Cédric Pons, this beautiful inter-grade PEAC (Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle) project led by Isabelle Ryckeboer brought together our Grande Section (Kindergarten) students and the Secondary AS Dance group, in collaboration with Frédérique Sorange.
Throughout the performance, each class took the stage one after the other, showcasing a rich diversity of dance expressions:💃 Tango 🩰 Classical ballet 🔥 Flamenco 🌿 Contemporary dance 🎶 Waltz 🌍 African dance… followed by a powerful and inspiring finale by our Secondary AS Dance students.
This structuring project allowed students to describe movement and express emotions through dance, explore the body, movement and space, work collaboratively while respecting others’ space and voice, discover cultural venues and artistic professions.
More than a performance, it was a true celebration of creativity, cooperation and artistic expression across age groups.
👏 Congratulations to all our students for their dedication and stage presence, and heartfelt thanks to our artistic partners and teachers for guiding them on this unforgettable journey.

Exploring Music the Indonesian Way! 🎶
Following their trip to Bintan, our CM2 students are continuing their discovery of Indonesian culture through music class. They had a fantastic time discovering the Angklung, a traditional Indonesian bamboo instrument, with their teacher Virginie Durand.
They are not only discovering the instrument itself, but also exploring key musical elements such as improvisation and conducting an ensemble. They didn’t just learn to play, they also learned to lead their fellow musicians, guiding when each person should play and creating music together spontaneously.
With multiple Angklungs tuned to different scales, they could explore a wide variety of sounds, opening up endless possibilities for creativity and improvisation.
This playful session was not only a lot of fun, but also a wonderful way to sharpen their musical ear, boost creativity, and refine their dexterity. 🌟
We’re so proud to see our students embracing new cultures and expanding their musical horizons!

Throwback | French Men’s Rugby Sevens Team Visit IFS 🇫🇷🏉
Looking back at a very special moment on our campus, the International French School had the pleasure of hosting the French Men’s Rugby Sevens Team, welcomed by our Principal Mr. Binan, Remi Benaiges and our IFS sports coaches.
This exceptional event brought together 22 members of the French delegation, players, coaching staff and medical team, for an inspiring afternoon of sport, sharing and connection with our students.
After a formal introduction, our students took part in a series of interactive skills stations, where small groups rotated through fun and dynamic workshops alongside the players. From passing drills to team games and playful challenges, this unique moment allowed our students to experience rugby in a joyful and authentic way, and for the players to reconnect with their own inner child.
The session ended with a photo and autograph moment, creating unforgettable memories for our students, who were both inspired and deeply impressed by the athletes.
Sponsored by @adidassg , the event also included a mutual exchange of goodie bags, reflecting the strong values of mutual respect, teamwork and generosity shared by everyone involved.
A truly beautiful event, filled with energy, smiles and collective spirit, and a powerful reminder of how sport can inspire, connect and bring communities together. 🌟

Welcoming Artist Nathalie Laoué to Our Primary School 🇸🇬 🎨
We were delighted to welcome French contemporary artist Nathalie Laoué to our Primary School for a series of creative workshops with our CE2 students.
As part of a pedagogical project exploring Singapore and its iconic architecture, our students took part in artistic workshops inspired by the famous Singapore shophouses.
Based in Singapore, Nathalie Laoué draws inspiration from the city’s vibrant colours, rich textures, flora and fauna, and intricate architectural patterns. Through drawing, painting, collage and mixed media techniques, she invited students to discover how art can celebrate cultural diversity and heritage.
Through this workshop, students learned the importance of colour harmony and bold colour choices, as well as patience, focus and precision. They also discovered how brush strokes, movement around the artwork, and working on different areas of the canvas can completely transform a piece.
« L’art ne cherche pas à représenter une belle chose, mais à faire une belle représentation de toute chose. »
Two days full of creativity, imagination and inspiration! 🎨🌿

IFS & GESS: Honouring the Élysée Treaty Together 🇫🇷🇩🇪
All our German students from seconde at IFS celebrated the anniversary of the signing of the Élysée Treaty (22 January 1963) by taking part in a meaningful exchange day at German European School Singapore.
This special day was a true success! Our students put their linguistic, historical, and human skills into practice while building strong connections with their GESS counterparts, friendships they continue to nurture each year through our shared activities.
Inspired by the vision of Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer, this exchange reflects the enduring spirit of Franco-German friendship, an important historical partnership still officially celebrated every year by both governments.

Happy Chinese New Year 2026 – Year of the Horse! 🐎🎊
A joyful and festive atmosphere filled IFS as we celebrated Lunar New Year with our community! 🌙✨
This year, our elementary students worked incredibly hard through a series of creative workshops dedicated to discovering Chinese culture and traditions.
They took part in a calligraphy experience, creating the character “春” (Spring), while learning about the meaning of the Spring Festival and traditional Chinese writing techniques. ✍️🧧
They also explored Chinese printmaking 🖨️, paper cutting ✂️, and crafted beautiful lantern decorations 🏮, transforming the school into a vibrant celebration of colours, symbols, and creativity.
Our kindergarten students were also fully immersed in the festivities, discovering traditional dumplings 🥟, enjoying a tea tasting 🍵, and creating their own stamps during hands-on workshops.
A wonderful way for our students to learn, create, and celebrate together, and to welcome the Year of the Horse with energy, curiosity, and good fortune! 🐎✨
“恭喜发财” (Gōngxǐ fācái) to all our IFS families! 🎉

From Past to Present: History and Transformations of Antisemitism - PEAC Conference
On 10 February 2026, the International French School (IFS) hosted a thought-provoking lecture on the History and Transformations of Antisemitism, led by Valentine Lachaud from the Memorial de la Shoah @memorialshoahofficiel
This event was part of our PEAC (Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle) program, which encourages students to explore history, culture, and the arts through meaningful experiences.
In a world where discrimination still persists, understanding the roots and evolution of antisemitism is more important than ever. Moderated by Hugo, a Terminale student, the session explored the historical, social, and cultural dimensions of antisemitism, highlighting the importance of memory, education, and transmission for future generations.
We warmly thank Olivier Massis for his support in organizing this event, as well as Valentine Lachaud and the Mémorial de la Shoah for sharing their expertise and fostering such a meaningful dialogue within our community.

A Heartwarming Act of Solidarity 💝
As part of their humanitarian project, two students, Eve and Sophie, from the Humanitarian Student Group organized a donation drive to collect essential items for young children. 🧸📚👕
Toys, books, clothes, and other everyday essentials were generously donated and handed over to our partner association @alifelimited .
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our IFS kindergarten families, nearly fifteen bags were collected and delivered, allowing us to support families in need as Chinese New Year approaches.
We would also like to warmly thank our partner @cdgtaxi , who generously supported this initiative by providing transportation for our students and all the donated items.
A beautiful way to begin the Year of the Horse, with kindness, sharing, and solidarity. 🐎✨
