Young Leaders, Big Heart: The IFS Humanitarian Club is Back! 💙
26 Terminales students have officially joined the IFS Humanitarian Club for the 2026–2027 school year! For these high school seniors, this commitment holds a special place: as they prepare for their final year at IFS, they are taking the opportunity to build one last meaningful, solidarity-driven experience together:
🤝 Brainstorming key causes they want to champion
📝 Drafting an action plan for their upcoming year of projects
👥 Organizing into action groups to turn their ideas into reality
They are supported by the IFS Parents’ Humanitarian Group, who were also present to share their insights and stand alongside our students. A special thank you to Mr. Pilon, our teacher in charge of the Humanitarian Group, for his guidance and commitment. 👏

From September 14 to 18, our teaching team participated in intensive training modules led by Frédéric Guilleray, a renowned cognitive science expert, author, and member of the Scientific Council for National Education (CSEN).
Through up to 24 hours of specialized training, our teachers refine their daily practices to help students:

We are proud to announce an innovative co-hosting partnership with @theguildcollege , Singapore’s first international college dedicated to neurodiverse learners!
Starting this term, IFS will host students and staff from The GUILD on our 2900 campus. They will occupy designated spaces, optimizing our campus footprint while fostering an inclusive, compassionate, and active community space.

A Story of Culture, Passion & Belonging: Meet the Yoshii Family! 🇫🇷🇯🇵✨🌍
From Japan to Singapore and onto the courts of the All Japan Jr Squash Championships, 10-year-old Ceon Yoshii and her family share a truly special connection with the International French School (IFS).
Although non-French speakers when they arrived, the Yoshii family chose IFS for its unique cultural bridge, shared values between France and Japan, and the dedicated FLSCO support program that turns language learning into an exciting adventure. 📚❤️

What impressed the Yoshii family most is how IFS actively opens its doors to non-French-speaking students, offering a genuine pathway into the French educational system. Thanks to personalized attention from teachers and tailored language integration, Ceon didn’t just learn a new language, she developed a deep sense of belonging and enthusiasm for a brand-new culture! 🌟

Exploring, Learning, and Settling In! 🧭🌿
Starting secondary school is a big step, but our 6th-grade students are already off to a fantastic start!
As part of their Life and Earth Sciences (SVT) curriculum, our students took part in a fun orientation tour around the campus. Guided by Mr. Mercier and his fellow science teachers, they explored their new school environment, marked key locations on a campus map using cardinal points, and located their future classrooms.
Beyond learning how to navigate the campus, this hands-on activity encourages curiosity and scientific observation. Armed with multimeters to measure temperature, light, and humidity around the school, our young scientists got their first taste of field investigation! 🌡️☀️
Most importantly, this initiative also fosters well-being and seamless integration, helping our new middle schoolers feel confident, curious, and fully at home in their new school environment. ✨

From IFS to the Skies! ✈️✨
We were absolutely thrilled to welcome back one of our inspiring alumni, Alice (Class of 2012), to the IFS campus!
After graduating from IFS, Alice took a bold leap and moved straight to Australia to pursue her dream in aviation through a cadetship with Regional Express. Fast forward to today, and she is now a Boeing 737 First Officer with Qantas, based in Sydney.
During her visit, Alice shared why she chose Australia back then, driven by the career opportunities in the aviation industry. She also reflected on how her years at IFS paved the way for her success:
🌍 Cultural Adaptability: In a field where you work alongside people from all over the world, Alice says the multicultural environment at IFS gave her a huge head start (even if adjusting to the Aussie accent took a bit of time!).
💡 Advice for IFS Students: Follow your passion, step out of your comfort zone, and don’t be afraid to pursue your dreams across the globe!
