IFS & GESS: Honouring the Élysée Treaty Together 🇫🇷🇩🇪
All our German students from seconde at IFS celebrated the anniversary of the signing of the Élysée Treaty (22 January 1963) by taking part in a meaningful exchange day at German European School Singapore.
This special day was a true success! Our students put their linguistic, historical, and human skills into practice while building strong connections with their GESS counterparts, friendships they continue to nurture each year through our shared activities.
Inspired by the vision of Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer, this exchange reflects the enduring spirit of Franco-German friendship, an important historical partnership still officially celebrated every year by both governments.

Happy Chinese New Year 2026 – Year of the Horse! 🐎🎊
A joyful and festive atmosphere filled IFS as we celebrated Lunar New Year with our community! 🌙✨
This year, our elementary students worked incredibly hard through a series of creative workshops dedicated to discovering Chinese culture and traditions.
They took part in a calligraphy experience, creating the character “春” (Spring), while learning about the meaning of the Spring Festival and traditional Chinese writing techniques. ✍️🧧
They also explored Chinese printmaking 🖨️, paper cutting ✂️, and crafted beautiful lantern decorations 🏮, transforming the school into a vibrant celebration of colours, symbols, and creativity.
Our kindergarten students were also fully immersed in the festivities, discovering traditional dumplings 🥟, enjoying a tea tasting 🍵, and creating their own stamps during hands-on workshops.
A wonderful way for our students to learn, create, and celebrate together, and to welcome the Year of the Horse with energy, curiosity, and good fortune! 🐎✨
“恭喜发财” (Gōngxǐ fācái) to all our IFS families! 🎉

From Past to Present: History and Transformations of Antisemitism - PEAC Conference
On 10 February 2026, the International French School (IFS) hosted a thought-provoking lecture on the History and Transformations of Antisemitism, led by Valentine Lachaud from the Memorial de la Shoah @memorialshoahofficiel
This event was part of our PEAC (Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle) program, which encourages students to explore history, culture, and the arts through meaningful experiences.
In a world where discrimination still persists, understanding the roots and evolution of antisemitism is more important than ever. Moderated by Hugo, a Terminale student, the session explored the historical, social, and cultural dimensions of antisemitism, highlighting the importance of memory, education, and transmission for future generations.
We warmly thank Olivier Massis for his support in organizing this event, as well as Valentine Lachaud and the Mémorial de la Shoah for sharing their expertise and fostering such a meaningful dialogue within our community.

Our campus was filled with love and positive energy as the IFS community came together to celebrate Friendship Day, dressed in shades of pink, red, and white. 🎀🤍❤️
This beautiful day was organized by our Humanitarian Group, showing once again the strength of our community spirit.
To make the day even sweeter, our partner @sg.chartwells generously provided delicious muffins, while lovely tartlets were offered by @bonnemaman_sg . A big thank you to our sponsors for their support! 🧁🥧
Students and families also enjoyed a rose and bracelet sale, as well as a fun photo booth, creating joyful memories throughout the day. 📸✨
All funds raised will be donated to our partner associations: @alifelimited @3pumpkins_sg and @willinghearts_sg

🎉 Carnival Day: The Perfect Way to Start the Holidays! 🎭
This Friday, our community celebrated the last day before the holidays with an unforgettable Carnival Day full of joy, music, and fun!
On the elementary side, students took part in a fantastic pop rock workshop at Amphitheatre 2900, where they sang and played music with incredible energy 🎤🎸Well done to them!
The celebration continued with a disco atmosphere in the gymnasium and a lively New Stream Bass Band performance on the field, creating a vibrant and festive mood.
On the secondary side, our Terminales students joined the fun by coming to school in their pyjamas, bringing lots of laughter and smiles.
We wish all our students, families, and staff a wonderful and well-deserved holiday. ✨

A Heartwarming Act of Solidarity 💝
As part of their humanitarian project, two students, Eve and Sophie, from the Humanitarian Student Group organized a donation drive to collect essential items for young children. 🧸📚👕
Toys, books, clothes, and other everyday essentials were generously donated and handed over to our partner association @alifelimited .
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our IFS kindergarten families, nearly fifteen bags were collected and delivered, allowing us to support families in need as Chinese New Year approaches.
We would also like to warmly thank our partner @cdgtaxi , who generously supported this initiative by providing transportation for our students and all the donated items.
A beautiful way to begin the Year of the Horse, with kindness, sharing, and solidarity. 🐎✨

🐎 Welcoming the Year of the Horse at IFS 🧧
Our students, from Kindergarten to Terminale, had the joy and surprise of enjoying the Lion Dance performances once again. 💫
The rhythmic drums, vibrant colors and powerful movements brought good luck, prosperity and joy to our community, creating a truly unforgettable moment for our students and staff.
Everyone wanted to get closer to the horse! 🐎✨

Night Football at IFS ⚽🌙
On Friday, February 6th, @coach_nono69 , our football coach, organized a night football tournament at IFS, open to all high school students enrolled in AES Football and other sports programs.

A big congratulations to the winning teams: ESA, Les Tigres, Cogito and Maya FC 🏆👏

Celebrating Mandarin Culture Through Creativity & Kindness 🌏✨
In the lead-up to this special time of year, our students have been bringing Mandarin culture to life through art, tradition, and generosity.
Our CE2 students created beautiful greeting cards, each featuring a hand-painted horse and a thoughtful message carefully written and attached with care. 🐎🎨
Meanwhile, our 5eme students, as part of their Mandarin Culture & Civilisation classes, crafted traditional red lanterns, Chunlian (Spring Festival couplets), and intricate paper cuttings to decorate not only our school, but also a local hospital, helping to brighten the days of people in need during this meaningful season. 🏮❤️
As part of their Civic Education (EMC), a group of Terminale students chose to get involved in a Humanitarian Group project and went to Crawfurd Hospital to meet the patients and personally share the creations made by the CE2 and 5eme students.
A wonderful example of learning with purpose and heart.
With the active involvement of their Mandarin teachers Mrs Chang and Mrs Chen, our students learned that culture is not only something to study, but something to share, using creativity to spread joy, connection, and hope.
We would also like to thank @cdgtaxi , who kindly provided transportation for our students to travel to the hospital. 🙏🚌
