Where French, Chinese, and Singaporean cultures meet. ✨

Our Chinese Cultural Evening, “Spring 春 (Chūn)”, was a spectacular success! 🌸 This event was more than just a series of performances; it was a vibrant demonstration of the multiculturalism and multilinguism that defines our school. Our students from CM1 to Seconde showcased their incredible Mandarin journey, bridging French and Chinese cultures with grace and passion.

See some of the highlights:
🦁 The powerful Drum & Lion Dance kickstarting the night.
🐉 Fierce Dragon Dance and Martial Arts displays.
🎻 The delicate strings of the Guzheng and Pipa.
🎭 Students bringing Mandarin to life through theatre and poetry.
💃 A fusion of traditional fan dances and modern “Ke Mu San” vibes.

We are so proud of our students for showing us that language learning is about more than just words. 🤝❤️Bravo to our mandarin teachers Mr Gan, Mme Zhou, Mm Chang, Mme Decotte, Mr Yip and everyone involved in making this “exceptional moment” a reality!

« La richesse de notre école ne réside pas dans l’uniformité, mais dans le dialogue constant entre nos cultures française, chinoise et singapourienne. »

A Masterclass in Eloquence at IFS! 🎤✨

We are incredibly proud of our students who took the stage for the Grand Finale of our annual Eloquence Contest. Under the guidance of Ms. Chomienne as part of the Moral and Civic Education (EMC) program, 13 finalists rose to the challenge. They tackled complex societal issues centered on « Cohesion and Diversity in a Democratic Society, » including:

⚖️ Freedom & Equality
🚫 Homophobia & Antisemitism
📱 The Digital World & School
🐾 Animal Welfare & Tolerance
💭 Bullying & The gaze of others

Speaking in public is a true act of bravery, it means exposing oneself to the judgment of others. Our students showed impressive composure, using their voices to question, nuance, and move the audience.

Huge congratulations to our 2026 winners:
🥇 Juliette (1st Place) 🥈 Alexandre (2nd Place) 🥉 Elena (3rd Place)

Thanks to the pedagogical leadership and teachers for 6 years of empowering our students through speech. This event truly gives our youth a voice. Well done to all the contestants for their inspiring, passionate and convincing performances!

CM2 Sports Day: The Racquathlon Edition! 🏃‍♂️

Our CM2 students took over Campus 3000 for a morning of energy, sweat, and team spirit! This year, Coach Balum and Audrey wanted to do things a bit differently, focusing on one goal: « Winning means pushing yourself to the limit. »

It wasn’t about beating others, but about beating their own records! From the 30m sprint and Vortex throw to the Luc Léger endurance test, classes worked together to improve their averages and earn certificates. 🎓✨

Students also had a blast with « leisure » sessions: Table Tennis, Badminton, and some very high-energy relay races!

A huge welcome to the 9 students from La Petite École, who joined our CM2 classes, we can’t wait to see you in 6ème next year! A massive thank you to the 37 parents, the Parents’ Committee, our 15 teachers, and the incredible staff teams who made this possible.

« Gagner, ce n’est pas finir premier. C’est dépasser ses propres limites. »

A Week Full of Stories at IFS! 📚✨

What an incredible week we’ve had celebrating the joy of reading across the entire school! From our youngest learners to our staff and parents, the IFS Book Fair was a massive success.

Whether it was the Maternelle Book Fair sparking imagination in our littlest readers, the Elementary and Secondary levels, or all the way to our Teen & Adult selection, everyone could find the opportunity to discover new worlds as there was a treasure for everyone.

💰 A Generous Community We are proud to announce that thanks to your purchases and donations, we have raised more than S$8,000! These funds will go directly towards supporting the projects of the Humanitarian Group of Parents.

❤️ A Huge Thank You This event wouldn't have been possible without the incredible work of the Humanitarian Group of Parents. Thank you for the massive coordination, the book collection, and the sale setup. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire IFS community for your overwhelming generosity.

🗓️ Save the Date! If you have more books to share, a new collection will take place right after the holidays, from May 11th to 15th, in preparation for our final Book Fair of the year (June 22nd–26th)!

Ready for the Holidays? ✈️📖 As we head into the school break, we wish everyone a wonderful and relaxing holiday! We know your suitcases might be a little heavier this time, but there's no better travel companion than a fresh stack of books. Enjoy your new finds and happy reading to all!

A Journey Through History: Study Trip to Poland

In March, 28 of our senior students embarked on a profound journey through Poland as part of their Arts and Cultural Education Path (PEAC).

This wasn't just a trip; it was an immersive study of the history of the Jewish community and the Shoah. Over 8 nights, our students explored 6 key cities: Warsaw, Treblinka, Tykocin, Bialystok, Krakow, and Auschwitz.

From the historical streets of the Warsaw Ghetto to the solemn silence of the Łupochowo Forest and the haunting remains of Auschwitz-Birkenau, they followed the traces of the past to better understand our shared history.

Highlights of the journey included:
The POLIN Museum & the Jewish Historical Institute.
The Tykocin Synagogue and the historic Kazimierz district in Krakow.
The Wieliczka Salt Mines and the Royal City of Krakow.
A moving ceremony of remembrance in the Łupochowo Forest.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their maturity and commitment to this duty of memory. Special thanks to our dedicated teachers, Mr. MASSIS, Mr. ONGARO, and Ms. TASSY, for their guidance. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. SEBBAH, Study Trip Coordinator at the Mémorial de la Shoah, for his invaluable expertise.🕯️✨
