A Milestone Moment for IFS! ✨
On Thursday, January 22, 2026, we proudly celebrated the official inauguration of our Campus Extension & New Kindergarten. The ceremony, presided over by H.E. Mr. Stephen Marchisio @stephen_march , French Ambassador to Singapore, marked an important milestone for our school community.
The event was a great success, featuring inspiring speeches from Principal Mr. Binan and President of the Executive Committee Ludovic Mathe, a beautiful performance of the IFS anthem by our secondary choir led by our head of music Julie Demange, followed by Home.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the commemorative plaque, after which guests explored the new facilities and eco-friendly Villa Concept Kindergarten during a networking cocktail.
It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together and showcase the uniqueness of this project, which promises a bright future for our young learners at IFS.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all partners, sponsors, staff members, and members of the IFS community whose commitment and support made this project and this inauguration possible.

Student Spotlight | Meet Violette ❤️🇫🇷🔥🏉
We are incredibly proud of Violette, one of our students whose passion for touch rugby has led her to represent France at international level.
In this interview, Violette tells us when she first discovered rugby and how this sport quickly became a true passion. She has been playing for several years and trains regularly, dedicating countless hours to improving her skills, her fitness, and her understanding of the game, showing how much determination, discipline, and perseverance were needed to reach this level.
Last summer, her commitment was rewarded when she was selected for the France U18 Girls Touch Rugby team @u18girls_touchfrance , representing her country at the Atlantic Youth Touch Cup 2025 in Limerick, Ireland 🇮🇪. Wearing the French jersey was a powerful and unforgettable experience, one that reflects both the hard work she put in and the pride she felt competing alongside her teammates.
Looking ahead, Violette is already focused on what comes next. If she is selected again in March, she will have the opportunity to compete in the next international Championship in England this summer 🇬🇧. A new challenge, new goals, and the same passion driving her forward.
« Je continuerai à me pousser pour ne jamais abandonner ce sport. »
« Dans ce sport, tout le monde est là pour soutenir les autres. »
👏 Congratulations, Violette, your journey is truly inspiring!

PEAC | A Powerful Theatrical Experience at IFS 🎭
Our school recently hosted a deeply moving and impactful artistic performance: VIVE, presented by the @compagniesuperlune
Ahead of the performance, students took part in mediation sessions designed to better understand the play and approach it with reflection, and critical insight. Accompanied by the actors, they engaged in guided readings, and discussed the themes and artistic choices of the production.
Performed in Amphi 2900, VIVE stood out for its quadrifrontal staging, placing the audience on all four sides of the performance space. This immersive configuration reinforced the intensity of the courtroom setting and challenged traditional spectator perspectives, encouraging students to experience theatre in a more engaged and reflective way.
The evening concluded with a post-show discussion with the author and actors, moderated by Eloïse and Léo (Terminales students), with the participation of students from the theatre option. This exchange offered a meaningful space for dialogue, reflection, and shared learning.

Welcoming Nanyang Polytechnic Students at IFS ✨🌍
Students from @nanyangpoly came to our Campus for a friendly French Breakfast & School Visit!
Our guests shared a traditional French breakfast of croissant & pain au chocolat on the terrace in front of the AMK 3000 secondary school canteen before enjoying a guided tour of the school. The visit continued with an immersive experience, as the Nanyang Polytechnic students joined one of our classes alongside IFS students.
This enriching exchange was a wonderful opportunity to foster dialogue, share educational perspectives, and strengthen connections between institutions.
A special thank you to Ms Blondeau, our teacher in charge, for making this meaningful visit possible. 👏

Preparing for the next step after the Baccalaureate 🎓🌍
We had the pleasure of welcoming families for a dedicated Parcoursup information session, designed to support students and parents as they prepare for higher education applications.
Saturday morning kicked off with a conference led by Professor Mr Delcasse and Ms Ongaro, offering guidance on Parcoursup application files and timelines, along with a Q&A to better understand the platform, which officially opened on January 19.
This was followed by a parents’ gathering at 3C, with smaller group discussions over coffee organised by members of the Commission Parent (led by Carolina & Marc).
Families gained firsthand insights into the international post-baccalaureate pathways our students pursue and the discussions were structured around major academic streams, business, engineering, human and veterinary medicine, highlighting pathways to prestigious universities and institutions worldwide.
A sincere thank you to our speakers and to the parents who generously shared their experiences, making this event a meaningful and supportive moment for our community. Together, we help our students make informed and confident choices for their future. ✨

🌱 Students Taking Action for a More Sustainable Future 👕
Four Terminale students launched an inspiring project as part of their Education for Sustainable Development (EDD) and Moral & Civic Education (EMC) curriculum.
👉 Promoting recycling, creativity, and solidarity across our school community.
As part of this initiative, they organized a clothing collection, inviting high school students to donate clean, unused clothes and give them a second life.
They then worked with our CE1 primary students to transform these items, along with recyclable materials such as cardboard and fabric scraps, into eco-friendly fashion pieces, celebrating imagination and sustainable thinking ♻️🎨
This project was a wonderful opportunity to:
✔️ Raise awareness about recycling and environmental responsibility
✔️ Encourage creativity through reuse
✔️ Strengthen the bond between primary and high school students
« Recycler, c’est donner une seconde vie aux objets et aux idées. »
A great example of students leading positive change within our community 🌍💚

Learning Beyond the Classroom 📚🔥
Our 4ème Latin students took part in a unique and enriching educational outing to the Hell’s Museum at Haw Par Villa, organised by Ms Carole Bocquet and Ms Larrieu.
The visit explored representations of the Underworld in Chinese mythology, giving students the opportunity to observe, question, and reflect on how different cultures depict the afterlife. This immersive experience allowed them to compare the Chinese Underworld with the Roman Underworld studied in their Latin classes.
By stepping outside the classroom, students deepened their understanding of mythology while developing critical thinking and cross-cultural awareness through direct observation and discussion.
A meaningful learning experience where history, culture, and curiosity came together. 🏛️🐉

Last week, we welcomed Alban Perrin, historian and specialist in Holocaust studies, for a conference with students on Les Cahiers d’Alter.
This conference marked the first in a series of events organised within the PEAC (Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle) programme.
Students explored the testimony of Alter Fajnzylberg, gaining insight into the history of Auschwitz, the role of the Sonderkommando, and the importance of preserving memory.
The open session on Friday 9 January was moderated by two Terminale students, Ava and Leopold, highlighting the role of younger generations in the transmission of history. Congratulations to them for their poise, engagement, and maturity in leading this important session.
Further workshops are coming soon, and two classes will take part in a study trip to Auschwitz and Krakow in March.
We thank Alban Perrin for his contribution, as well as the teaching staff involved in this PEAC project, Olivier Massis, and the teachers who placed their trust in Alban Perrin by welcoming him into their classrooms: Marie Julie Cabibel-Tassy, Xavier Ongaro, Cecilia Bordas and Maxime Pilon.
