An exciting and inspiring month of October at IFS! ✨🌿
From Malaysia to Vietnam, our 5emes and Secondes students explored new horizons during their school trips.
Here in Singapore, the month was filled with energy and creativity.
From THIMUN 2025 and cultural celebrations like Deepavali, Halloween, and the Mid-Autumn Festival, to beautiful displays of art, music, theatre, and rangoli.
Our students also visited Little India, immersing themselves in its colourful streets, traditions and local heritage.
They debated, performed, created, and expressed themselves in Mandarin, Spanish, French, and English. They also elected their class representatives, took part in the EuroCham Sustainability Awards, and shone on the sports fields.
💫 October was truly a month that celebrated learning, culture, and community at IFS!

It’s a wrap for THIMUN Singapore 2025! 🌐
From 27 to 31 October, IFS had the honour of hosting this year’s edition of THIMUN Singapore, an incredible week of diplomacy, debate, and collaboration on our campus! 🤝
Over 350 delegates from schools around the world, including around 30 IFS students, came together to engage in meaningful discussions on global issues such as human rights, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. 💬
This year’s special focus on “The Impact of AI on Humanity” sparked insightful reflections on how technology is reshaping our societies. 🤖
A huge thank you to all the participants, the IFS volunteers, the Ambassadors, the teachers and mentors, and all the staff who made this event such a success. 🙏

Singing for a Cause & from the Heart 🎶
Our IFS Secondary Choir brought music and joy to Singapore General Hospital as part of MusicFest@SGH 2025.
After weeks of preparation, rehearsals, and teamwork, our students performed in the Hospital and in the beautiful Healing Garden, sharing warmth, hope, and smiles with patients, staff, and visitors. 💛
Their repertoire included heartfelt renditions of “Home”, “Autumn Leaves” and “Riptide”, pieces that beautifully echoed the spirit of comfort and connection that filled the day. 🎵
We are incredibly proud of their dedication and generosity, a true example of how young people can use their talents to make a difference.
A big thank you to @singtheatre and @sghseen for making this inspiring event possible and to our wonderful teacher Julie Demange for her dedication and hard work in guiding the students for the choir performance.

A Morning in Spain, Without Leaving Singapore! 🇪🇸
On October 16, at Jewel Changi Airport📍our Terminales LVC Spanish students immersed themselves in a vibrant Spanish world during “Little Spain at Jewel”, guided by their Spanish teacher and a native Spanish speaker.
For four hours, they practiced their Spanish, discovered the richness of Spanish culture, and experienced a little piece of Spain, right here in Singapore!
Thanks to this pop-up event organized by the Spain Tourism Board, students enjoyed colorful exhibits, and real conversations that brought the language to life.
💃 From lively dance moves to cultural discoveries, it was a joyful, hands-on way to live Spanish, not just study it!

Heading into the weekend on a sweet note, thanks to our Grande Section bakers! ✨🍰
Our students enjoyed a delightful moment in our brand-new cooking space at the IFS Kindergarten!
Specially designed for our young learners, this new kitchen has all the equipments they need to cook and learn in full confidence: large work surfaces, child-friendly sinks, and utensils adapted to their little hands.
As they prepared delicious vanilla cakes with chocolate chips to celebrate their classmates’ birthdays, our little chefs learned much more than just baking.
They worked as a team, helping one another and switching roles, looking at the recipe, measuring ingredients, mixing carefully, cracking eggs (without too many shells).
Through this fun and hands-on activity, our students developed essential skills such as cooperation, coordination, and early numeracy, all while sharing smiles and sweet aromas of freshly baked cake.
A sweet learning experience in our new Kindergarten Kitchen!

Thriving in a Multilingual Education: IFS Students Learning Mandarin along with French & English 👩🏫
At IFS, students develop their skills in Mandarin, alongside French and English from the early years. This year, our young learners will spend more time learning Mandarin, giving them increasing opportunities to dive into the language and culture.
They are already learning practical skills such as:
Differentiating genders (“I am a girl” - “I am a boy”)
Introducing themselves and sharing their age
Asking and answering simple questions such as “What’s your name?”
Writing dates - reproducing Chinese characters
With smaller class sizes, our teachers can focus more closely on each child, adapting the pace and learning approach to meet individual needs. This personalized attention helps students grow in confidence, curiosity, and joy for learning.

An Unforgettable Cultural Journey to Vietnam! 🇻🇳
For the first time this year, our Seconde students embarked on a memorable trip to Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, a brand-new destination for students at IFS!
From exploring the bustling streets of Saigon through a fun city scavenger hunt, to visiting the War Museum and the local Market, every moment was a chance to discover Vietnam’s rich history and culture.
They learned how to cook authentic Vietnamese dishes 👩🍳, took part in food tastings, and even practiced Viet Vo Dao. 🥋
Students also attended an inspiring conference on the role of women in Vietnamese history and society, deepening their understanding of the country’s social culture.
In the Mekong Delta, our students navigated the mangroves by boat and bicycle, met local schoolchildren, and enjoyed beautiful moments of music and cultural exchange in Vinh Long.🚲
A journey filled with discovery, connection, and unforgettable memories! 💛
