✨Turn old clothes into new creations!✨.
As part of a Terminale student project, they are collecting unused clothing from Dec 1–10 to upcycle with CE1 students and create eco-friendly fashion pieces. 🌿👗
All donated clothes will be transformed into fun, imaginative designs made with recyclable materials — ending with their own little Eco Fashion Show!

Annual Inter-School Robotics Challenge at IFS – Hackathon Pursuit Edition! 🤖⚡
IFS was buzzing with energy as our 5eme & 6eme students faced off against teams from Stanford during our annual Hackathon, a thrilling inter-school robotics challenge!
In just two hours, students had to design and build their own wheeled robot, integrate sensors under specific constraints, and code a program capable of navigating a circular track without crossing the boundary line.
The challenge?
A high-speed duel where each robot had to chase the other as fast as possible—all while staying perfectly on track! 🚗💨
After an intense hour of official races, families joined to cheer on the participants, who proudly received their certificates. A fantastic moment of creativity, teamwork, problem-solving… and friendly competition! 🌟

A Creative Encounter with French Illustrator Roland Garrigue at IFS! 🎨👾
Our CE1 students had the amazing opportunity to meet Roland Garrigue, the celebrated French children’s book author and illustrator known for his wild imagination, mischievous humor, and wonderfully monstrous characters!
With more than a hundred published books — including the famous Comment ratatiner… series — Roland Garrigue brings a unique artistic style that children instantly connect with: playful, irreverent, and delightfully strange. Roland led two creative workshops among which:
👾 A Monster Splatter Workshop
Roland drew live on the projector, transforming ink splatters into hilarious monsters with the help of students who suggested shapes, features, and expressions. Then, each child received their own “monster splatter” to turn into a creature using markers and oil pastels. A perfect blend of imagination and improvisation!

IFS Cross-Country 2025 – Learn, Engage and Thrive: Sport for All! 🏃♂️🏃♀️🌟
Over three action-packed days, our students from Grande Section all the way up to 3ème took on the challenge of the IFS Cross-Country Run at the IFS 3000 field!
Each class worked together with one common objective: to run the greatest distance possible as a team 💪 This 2025 edition was filled with success, community spirit and meaningful moments.
Our IFS students ran for much more than a score or a distance, they were pushing their own limits, embracing teamwork, showing respect and sportsmanship and discovering the joy of effort and achievement.
Well done to all our students for their enthusiasm, resilience and fantastic energy on the track! And a big thank you to our teachers and the PE team for coordinating and supporting this memorable event. 🙌

Healthy Living Week at IFS: A Week of Wellness, Movement & Mindfulness! 🌈🌿
Our Primary students enjoyed a vibrant and energizing Healthy Living Week, filled with hands-on workshops led by amazing experts who brought health and wellness to life on campus.
🚴♂️ Smoothie Bike – Students pedaled their way to delicious banana, watermelon and cucumber smoothies, discovering how fun (and tasty!) healthy habits can be.
🧘♀️ Kids Yoga – A calming session to stretch, breathe and reconnect with their bodies.
🌊 Sound Healing (Ocean Theme) – A soothing journey through sound, helping students relax and explore mindfulness in a unique, sensory way.
🌀 Tai Chi – Learning fluid movements, breathing techniques, and the art of slowing down.
🤸 Jump Rope – From basic skills to impressive tricks, students boosted their coordination and confidence.
🏹 Archery – A focus-building activity combining precision, concentration and fun.
A full and fulfilling week, where our young learners discovered new ways to take care of their bodies and minds. Their smiles and enthusiasm say it all! 💚✨

A moment with the Collectif Egalite - Getting Ready for 25 November! 🎬🤝
This week, we joined the students and teachers of the Collectif Égalite as they prepared for 25 November, a day dedicated to raising awareness about violence against women and gender-based violence.
Amid thoughtful discussions, dedicated commitments, and carefully planned action ideas, the volunteers have been working tirelessly, taking time out of their schedules to craft impactful messages, both visual and written, to make sure the 25 November event truly matters. They are counting on the whole IFS community to stand with them.

CE1 Students Explore the Wonders of Bird Paradise! 🐦🌿
Our CE1 students had an amazing day at Bird Paradise, Mandai Park, Singapore! They got to discover Singapore’s native birds, from colorful flamingos and elegant pelicans to fascinating birds of prey.
The highlights of the day included two spectacular bird shows, where our students watched hawks, vultures, and other incredible birds in action. 🦅💫
Students even got to identify the fastest, biggest, and most colorful birds, learning through play and discovery!
It was a day full of fun, learning, and unforgettable moments, as our young explorers deepened their knowledge about the amazing world of birds.

Supporting Multilingual Families at IFS 🗣️🧠
IFS Parents gathered in Amphi 3000 for an enriching conference on the joys and challenges of raising multilingual children, an event organised by the Commission Parents.
Led by Marion Dreux, Speech and Language Therapist, the session offered practical advice, key insights, and strategies to support children growing up with multiple languages.
From understanding how children acquire several languages to creating a supportive environment at home, families left with valuable tools to guide their child’s multilingual journey.
The evening concluded with an engaging Q&A session, giving parents the chance to share experiences and receive personalised guidance.
A big thank you to all the parents who attended and to the Commission Parents for this beautiful initiative!

Commemorative moment at the French Embassy 🎤
This 11 November, the Secondary Choir of Julie Demange had the honour of singing La Marseillaise at the French Embassy in Singapore, as part of the Armistice Day commemoration.
With emotion, respect, and remarkable poise, our students delivered a moving performance of the French national anthem. Their dedication and musical talent made this solemn occasion truly unforgettable.
