Come Celebrate Dance and Encourage IFS Students

It is with great pleasure that IFS will host the Dance Festival (PROZAP) from 16 to 18 May 2023.

Our young dancers from the AES will share this beautiful event with the students of the Lycée Français René Descartes of Phnom Penh and all of them will have the privilege to work with Rodolphe Viaud during three days of training.

Rodolphe Viaud is a dancer/choreographer/director based in Toulouse. He has already honoured us for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019) by coaching our AS Danse students.

On these occasions, the Rodolphe Viaud company presented two of his pieces: “RE.0” and “La table de trois.”

You can discover his works by clicking on this link.

The main purpose of this project in the Asia-Pacific region is to allow our students to fully live an experience of artistic creation in all its dimensions and to share with their peers from French high schools or other international establishments an emotionally strong performance moment.

Through Dance, this festival prompts encounters, the discovery of new cultures… it changes our view of the world, of “the other”, it influences the language of the body and opens our students to new forms of dance (traditional, classical, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, krump, street…)

The project tells a story, it mixes gestures and/or raises awareness of a cause, it is a starting point for artistic creation.

It is an amazing opportunity to generate exchanges and communicate about each persons’ uniqueness! It helps our dancers to discover and build their own identity.

We hope that many of you will join us this year to share this beautiful experience and applaud our young dancers on stage for their show :
