Be Yourself Day 2026 at IFS: A Beautiful Day of Unity! 🌈
The IFS community vibrated with colors, kindness, and self-acceptance for our “Be Proud of Yourself” day, organized by the Collectif Égalité!
Our campus truly became a place where “Ici, on peut être soi” (Here, you can be yourself).
✨ What made this day so special:
A Sea of Colors: It was incredible to see so many students and staff proudly wearing the Collectif Égalité T-shirt and rocking their new rainbow bracelets! 👕
Learning & Dialogue: The day kicked off with an inspiring live video conference by Mr. Binan, followed by meaningful classroom discussions using our dedicated presentation and videos. Education is our best tool against discrimination!
A Wall Full of Love: Our stands were buzzing during the day breaks! The Post-it wall came to life with uplifting messages, kind words, and affirmations of support. 📝
We want to give a massive THANK YOU to all the students and teachers from the Collectif Égalité, and staff who showed such openness, empathy, and commitment.

🤝 Cross-Year Collaboration in Action!
Our Year 12 German students (Terminale) stepped into the shoes of teachers! As part of their history curriculum, Ms. Günther’s class visited the CM2 students to introduce them to the complexities of WWII.
🧠 The workshop kicked off with a deep dive into historical concepts. Our older students challenged the Year 5s to think about the term “generalization”—a perfect way to lead into the fascinating story of Georg Elser.
✨ This exchange is a win-win:
For Year 5: A peer-led introduction to a major historical topic.
For Year 12: A golden opportunity to practice simplifying complex ideas in preparation for their Grand Oral.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Erin-Agot, Mr. Cailton, and Ms. Günther for making this inspiring bridge between primary and secondary school possible! 👏🎓

How much of our lives are we missing while looking down at our screens? 📱✨
At IFS, we believe that raising responsible digital citizens requires a thoughtful, step-by-step approach. Over the past weeks, our community came together for four powerful events dedicated to navigating the digital world safely and harmoniously.
Here is a look back at our journey:
🤝 Digital Harmony Workshop: From “Tug-of-War” to “Teamwork” We kicked off this series with an inspiring workshop led by the 2C Counselling team. Parents and teens came together to bridge the gap, exploring why social media matters, how to manage digital risks, and how to lead with curiosity instead of judgment.
🛡️ Digital Safety & Health Conference: A Roadmap for Parents Next, we dived into the practical side of well-being. Expert Gazbiah Sans shared crucial insights on cyber safety and bullying prevention, while the team from EssilorLuxottica provided vital advice on how screens impact children’s vision and sleep.
🎬 “Looking Up” Screening: Reflecting on our Habits Parents, collège and lycée students gathered for a screening of @gillesvernet_auteur acclaimed documentary, “Et si on levait les yeux ?”. Following a class during a 10-day digital detox, the film sparked inspiring cross-generational conversations about reclaiming our time and attention.
☕ Café Parents: Perspectives on Parent-Teen Relationships To wrap up this series, three of our talented Seconde students hosted a bilingual Parents’ Café. They provided invaluable perspectives on how the modern digital landscape shapes adolescent well-being, touching on family communication, self-image, social media, stress management, and the pursuit of autonomy.
A sincere thank you to our expert speakers, our inspiring Year 11 students, the IFS Parents’ Commission, our dedicated organizers, and the entire community for their high engagement throughout these events.

Connecting cultures, one conversation at a time! 🏮✨
Our MCC (Mandarin Culture and Civilization) students spent an incredible afternoon at @nygh_official for our ongoing linguistic exchange.
After a fantastic session, our students are back to deepen their friendships and practice their Mandarin skills with their Singaporean peers. Seeing these cross-cultural bonds grow is what the MCC section is all about! 🤝🌏
✨ A huge thank you to Marie Chang and to everyone involved in making this exchange such a rewarding success. Memories for a lifetime! 📸❤️

The final countdown begins! 🎓✨
Our Grade 12 students just received their official Class of 2026 Polos, and the pride is real! Seeing these colors in the hallways is a reminder of how far our seniors have come.
This moment is made even more special as our Head of School, Mr. Binan, shares one last graduation season with our Terminales before leaving IFS to pursue his next chapter. 💙
From the classroom to the graduation stage, there is only one month left. 🗓 Save the Date: June 26th. 👕🔥

The International French School (IFS) wishes everyone a very happy Hari Raya Haji! 🌙✨
As we celebrate this day, we are reminded of the rich cultural diversity that makes our school community so unique. May this festive season bring peace and joy to your homes.

Coffee, community, and new chapters. ☕️✨
It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces and meet those of you who are just beginning your journey with our community. Our Café Parent hosted recently at Al Fresco was a beautiful reminder that parenting is truly a “journey best shared.”
Beyond the coffee and conversation, that day was a very special occasion as we looked toward the future. Our parents had the wonderful opportunity to personally greet our incoming Head of School, Mr. Samuel Jourdan, who will be succeeding Mr. Binan at the start of the next school year. 🤝
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this friendly “coffee and chat.” Whether you’ve been with us for years or just joined this term, you make our school family what it is!

What a Performance!🌟
Our theater students took us on an unforgettable journey from the heart of Périgord to the edges of the world in their production of “Les Ombres qui sont nos rêves.”
From May 21st to 23rd, the Amphithéâtre 2900 was transformed into 19th-century South America. Our talented cast brought to life the surreal true story of Antoine de Tounens, the local notary who dared to become the “King of the Mapuche.”
Through Métie Navajo’s 2024 play, we followed Antoine’s life across three stages: the dreaming child, the daring king, and the reflective old man. It was a powerful exploration of ambition, conscience, and the legends that define us.
A huge congratulations to all the students and staff involved for their hard work and passion. You made the stage come alive! 👏✨
A special note of gratitude to Olivier Massis. This production marks his final play here at the IFS after years of dedicated service to our theater program. Thank you, Olivier, for your vision and for inspiring so many students throughout the years.

🏛️✨ Time travel at IFS! ✨🏛️
The secondary school courtyard was transformed into ancient Rome for our special Antiquity Day! From togas and gladiators to Cleopatra herself, the campus was buzzing with classical energy and history.
The day was packed with highlights:
🎨 Temporary tattoos
📸 A Roman-style photo booth
📜Incredible costumes and ancient-inspired fun
A massive thank you to our amazing Latin teachers who pulled out all the stops to make history feel more alive than ever.

Yesterday, the IFS community gathered for a deeply moving conference, The Auschwitz Album: How the Nazis Photographed Their Crimes, led by renowned Holocaust historian Tal Bruttmann. 🏫🕯️
Our students and parents explored the harrowing history behind a unique collection of 197 photographs from Auschwitz-Birkenau. M. Bruttmann powerfully demonstrated how these images—intended by the SS to show the “efficiency” of the camp—were actually used as tools of dehumanisation and were, in fact, part of the crime itself.
It was an essential lesson in the power of images, history, and critical thinking.
We extend our warmest thanks to Tal Bruttmann for sharing his vital expertise. Educating our youth on these visual testimonies is how we ensure that “Never Again” remains a lasting commitment for the next generation
