Back to a Cultural Highlight: “Tu, Lei & Lo” 🎨

In March, our school was buzzing with creativity! Our students (from Kindergarten PS to CP) participated in a unique cultural experience as part of the PEAC (Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle). The troupe @gipsy_raw performed their show “Tu, Lei & Lo” at Amphi 2900. It was a breathtaking mix of:
💃 Contemporary Dance
⚡️ Acrobatics
🎭 Circus Arts

The adventure didn’t stop at the stage! Our students also took part in dance workshops led by the professionals. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to express themselves through movement and discover the world of performing arts firsthand.

Special thanks to the artists and to Isabelle, our primary PEAC lead, for making this artistic journey possible! ✨Thank you for bringing so much inspiration to our school!

Harmonizing in Ho Chi Minh City! ✨🎶

After having the honor of hosting the Chorasies at IFS for the past two consecutive years, it was time for our singers to pack their bags! From April 6th to 10th, our talented students from IFS Singapore took part in the 9th edition of the Chorasies in Vietnam. It was a journey filled with music, emotion, and cultural exchange that we won’t soon forget. 🇻🇳✈️

🎤 A Night of Musical Magic The stage came alive with a powerful program. Here is a selection of our students’ performances, led by Julie Demange:

The Opening: To open the concert, students from all delegations joined their voices for Forêts Paisibles (from Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes), featuring IFS soloists Camille, Gustave, and Robert, directed by our choir master Julie Demange.
IFS Spotlight: Our choir moved the audience with beautiful renditions of Home by Dick Lee and Somewhere Only We Know by Keane.
Special Duo: A breathtaking transition by Aimée and Alicia, performing Yseult’s Corps.
Grand Finale: To finish, all delegations joined voices for a soul-stirring closing with Ederlezi by Goran Bregovic, featuring two young soloists from our IFS choir, Nina and Yohan, directed by Julie Demange.

From the IFS pitch to the National Stage! 🇸🇬⚽️

We’ve been following Talia’s journey for a while now, and today, we couldn’t be prouder. Our very own student-athlete has officially been called up for the Singapore Women’s National Team! 🦁✨

Talia is currently in Sabah this week, training hard with the squad. Watching her growth from a talented student player to representing the Red & White is a testament to her dedication, discipline, and passion for the game.

Bridging the gap! 🎓✨

Our CM2 students are getting a head start on their journey to secondary school! As part of our Primary-to-Secondary Transition Program, our students have been diving into the world of « big school » through some amazing collaborative workshops.

💡 Maths in Action: The CM2 class welcomed the 6emes students from the Math.en.JEANS club. It was a fantastic peer-to-peer exchange where the older students presented their year-long research projects.

⚡ Science Explorers: Our CM2 students headed to the secondary labs! Under the guidance of Mr. Parthenay, they joined their 6emes counterparts for hands-on physics experiments on electricity.

Special thanks to Mr. Cailton, Ms. Erin-Agot, and Mr. Parthenay for organizing these enriching sessions. There’s no better way to settle future-student nerves than by picking up a beaker or solving a math puzzle in their future classrooms. We are so proud of their curiosity!

24 Hours. One Zoo. Infinite Memories! 🐾✨

Our CE1 students traded their classrooms for the wild with a 24-hour sleepover at the Singapore Night Safari! ⛺️🦁

From Readers to Writers: 5ème Students Collaborate with Author Ellie Ariny! 🇫🇷✨

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent writing workshops held from January to May 2026. Under the guidance of Singapore-based French author Ellie Ariny, five of our classes dove deep into the world of « Heroic Fantasy. »

Ellie Ariny, known for The Jade Trilogy and her newest series La Légion Neuve, helped our students bridge the gap between reading and creation. After studying the first volume, La Mémoire du Sang, students took on the challenge of writing « spin-off » stories, expanding the universe with their own imagination.

✅ Real-world experience: Students learned the discipline and joy of novel writing.
✅ Cultural Mediation: Grade 12 students Hanaé and Désirée are producing an interview to explore Ellie’s life as a writer and the themes of her work.
✅ Legacy: The students’ stories will be published in a special edition book!

This project is a perfect example of how the PEAC program brings literature to life at IFS. We can’t wait to read the adventures our young legionnaires have dreamt up!

Adventure into the Heart of the Jungle! 🌿

Our students from the wildlife & biodiversity group went on an unforgettable expedition to Malaysia! Discovering the stunning landscapes of Bako National Park in Borneo Island, our young explorers dived deep into one of the world’s richest biodiversity hotspots.

Accompanied by expert guides, they spent their days (and nights!) trekking through the wild to observe incredible flora and fauna.
Spotting the iconic Proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat.
Encountering a variety of reptiles, colorful frogs, and busy crabs along the shorelines.
Capturing stunning shots of rare species to document the region’s unique ecosystem.
Developing a deep awareness of the need to protect ALL of nature and understanding the extreme fragility of our planet’s biodiversity.

This wasn’t just a trip, our students traded the classroom for a hands-on lesson in conservation and nature’s wonders. 🐍🐒 Check out some of their best shots! 📸

The bridge between primary and middle school is such an important milestone! 🚀

We were thrilled to welcome the CM2 (Grade 5) students from La Petite École for a special “Live my life… as a 6ème student” immersion day. 🏫

Paired with their IFS buddies, they dove straight into the middle school experience:
📝 Tackling mythology-inspired composition exercises.
🏀 Joining French, English, and PE classes.
🍱 Discovering the secondary canteen (a major highlight!).

It was wonderful to see the confidence building as they navigated new routines and made new connections. A huge thank you to La Petite École for visiting us, we were so impressed by your students’ curiosity and spirit! 🌟

We are ready and waiting to pick up the torch and welcome this new generation of learners into the IFS family for Grade 6. See you soon! 🤝🎓

A Night of Wonder at the Science Centre! 🌟🚀

Our Kindergarten students experienced an extraordinary 24-hour adventure at the Singapore Science Centre! From afternoon until morning, our little explorers traded their classrooms for a world of discovery, and even slept over! 😴✨

It was a journey filled with awe, laughter, and hands-on learning:
🎨 Creative Science: our students tapped into their artistic side by making « Glow-in-the-Dark » charms. They were fascinated to watch their drawings shrink and harden right before their eyes using heat, science is like magic!
🚀 Blast Off! Our budding engineers built and launched their very own Fizzy Rockets. Using a bit of chemistry (citric acid and baking soda), they watched their creations soar into the air!
💦 Splashing Fun: To burn off some energy, they headed to the water playground for a soak-tastic time! It was pure joy and giggles all around.

Everything was perfectly organized, from their neatly packed suitcases to the sleepover setup. A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers and the @sciencecentresg staff for their warm welcome and for making sure every student felt safe, happy, and well-fed throughout the trip.

They arrived back at school this with hearts full of memories. These are the unique experiences that make learning at IFS so special!
