Gold, Silver, and Bronze for our Young Ambassadors in Canberra
From March 9 to 13, our students travelled to Canberra, Australia, for the Asia-Pacific final of the Ambassadeurs, Ambassadrices en Herbe (AAEH) competition.
It was a massive week, bringing together 14 schools from across the AEFE network for a series of intense debates and public speaking challenges.
This year’s theme, “AI: A revolution for the benefit of humanity?”, required our team to navigate one of the most complex topics of our time.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our finalists: William, Mathilde, Kimi, Anaïs, Gabrielle, and Lily.
THE RESULTS
The IFS team stood out not just for their individual talents, but for how well they worked together.
- Silver Medal for the IFS Team: Our students took home silver in the team final! This is a huge testament to their critical thinking, their ability to listen, and their skill in navigating complex arguments.
- Gold for Gabrielle: Gabrielle blew the judges away in the “Orator” category, earning a gold medal. She will now represent the entire Asia-Pacific region at the World Final.
- Bronze for our Fabulists: Both William and Mathilde earned bronze medals in the “Fabulist” category. Their energy and creativity on stage were a highlight of the event.
A Week to Remember
The week concluded with a ceremony at the French Residence, hosted by the Ambassador of France to Australia as part of the Semaine de la Francophonie.
We would like to thank Ms. Chauvet and Ms. Chomienne for their guidance throughout this journey, as well as the Lycée Français de Canberra for their warm hospitality and organization.
At IFS, we remain committed to fostering responsible, engaged citizens who are ready to lead and dialogue in a changing world.
