📚✨ Red Dot Book Awards 2025 : Well done to our students! ✨📚
The Red Dot Awards Ceremony marked a fantastic end to a year full of reading and creativity. 👏
Over 100 IFS students took part in the Red Dot Book Festival, among 500+ students across Singapore. Eight teams proudly represented our school!
🏆 Congratulations to our winners:
1st place in the Older Readers category (out of 124 teams!)
2nd place in the Mature Readers category (out of 12 teams)
🎨 Creative highlights:
1st place in Better Book Cover
Three awards in Alternative Book Ending
Bravo to all participants and thank you to our amazing teachers!
The Red Dot Trophy stays at IFS this year, and our winning team will choose a Singapore charity to receive $500 in books, donated by the International School Libraries Network (ISLN). ❤️📖
And… the 2026 selection is ready! Some students have even recorded the first chapters to inspire next year’s readers. 🎙️📕

🏊♂️🎉 Congrats to the IFS Swim Team! 🎉🏊♀️
Our 24 swimmers, aged 8 to 17, proudly represented IFS at the Asia-Pacific Swimming Championships, competing over four intense days.
Thanks to their dedication, they earned an amazing 4th place overall and achieved 20+ podium finishes! 🏅👏
Beyond the results, it was a true display of team spirit and perseverance with personal records broken and great moments shared with students from across the region.
📍 Next year, the competition comes to IFS!

🎭 An unforgettable Little Red Riding Hood with Centre Stage! 🐺
As part of the GS/CP transition project, our students enjoyed a wonderful cultural experience this week thanks to the Centre Stage company.
✨ On the agenda:
• An interactive performance of Little Red Riding Hood full of humour, energy, and enthusiastic participation from the students right from the start!
• Two fun workshops focusing on movement and theatre, allowing students to explore stage expression while building self-confidence and creativity.
A big thank you to Centre Stage for their professionalism and amazing energy!

Safer Internet Day at IFS – “Click Safe, Think Smart”
Our secondary students took part in a special event dedicated to online safety and mental well-being, led by the 2C Counsellors, IT Department, DPO, 3C and the Anti-Bullying Cell.
🎯 Goal: to reflect on the impact of digital habits and learn how to navigate the internet in a safe, balanced and responsible way.
💡 Highlights included:
✔️ Interactive booths on online safety, cyberbullying, screen time
🎲 Digital detox challenges, kindness bingo, quizzes

📝 Pledge wall for positive digital habits

✨ An extraordinary achievement! ✨
This school holiday was full of unique experiences, for Victorine, it meant heading to Nepal for an incredible trek to reach Everest Base Camp, standing at 5,300 metres above sea level! ⛰️
This was no ordinary holiday… and this amazing experience will remain unforgettable — for her, and for us.
Victorine had the wonderful idea to pose with the IFS flag once she reached this symbolic milestone. 💙💪
We truly hope she feels proud of herself, because we certainly are! Her gesture deeply moved us, and we’re absolutely thrilled she chose to carry the IFS colours with her on this journey.
👏 Bravo and thank you for this inspiring lesson in courage and determination!

Our students are getting involved to support @nkseeds, an organisation offering English lessons to over 200 children in Luang Prabang, Laos.
We need your help!
➡️ Donate your books and magazines in French and English (beginner to intermediate level)
➡️ Board games and simple card games (in English if possible)
📅 Collection dates: From Monday 19 May to Friday 23 May 2025
📦 Drop-off points: Campus 3000 & 2900 (boxes at the entrance)

✨ First night away from home for our Kindergarten classes! ✨
All the GS (Kindergarten) classes had the wonderful opportunity to take turns spending the night at the Science Centre. For many of them, it was their very first sleepover… and as you can imagine, excitement levels were sky-high!
The programme included water play, hands-on science experiments, sky lanterns, dry ice bubbles, secret colour pouches, and plenty more surprises! 🧪✨🌙
It was an unforgettable evening filled with discovery, laughter, and wide-eyed wonder — an experience they’re still talking about today! A huge thank you to our amazing Kindergarten teaching and support team for making this magical adventure possible.
