Celebrating Eloquence at IFS! 🌟

At the end of January 2026, eight of our talented middle and high school students took the stage for the school-level final of the “Ambassadeurs, Ambassadrices En Herbe” (AAEH) competition.

This prestigious AEFE project challenges students to master the art of public speaking through local, regional, and global tournaments. For this edition, our speakers tackled a fascinating and timely theme: “Artificial Intelligence: A Revolution Serving Humanity?” 🤖✨

Since October, these students have been training weekly under the dedicated guidance of Ms. Chauvet and Ms. Chomienne, honing their oratory techniques and finding their unique voices.
A huge congratulations to all our participants: William, Fares, Mathilde, Gabrielle, Emma , Anaïs, Zichun, and Lily.

After an impressive final judged by our panel (Ms. Tché, Ms. Erin-Agot, and students Alys and Manon), six laureates were selected to move forward: 🏆 William, Mathilde, Gabrielle, Anaïs, Zichun, and Lily.

The adventure continues right now! ✈️ 🇦🇺 Our ambassadors are currently in Canberra, Australia, for the Asia-Pacific regional final (March 9th–13th). We are incredibly proud of their journey and wish them the best of luck as they represent IFS on the international stage!

« La Voix des Savants » & « Mad Maths » : A week of artistic and intellectual discovery at IFS! 🎭✨

Our school became a vibrant stage where science, humor, and eloquence collided.
The journey began with “Mad Maths”, a quirky and surreal theatrical performance. Our students were treated to a “maths lesson” like no other, featuring two eccentric professors who turned concepts like infinity and zebras into pure poetry. It was the perfect, high-energy spark to remind everyone that learning is, above all, a creative adventure! 🦓🧮

Inspired by this professional performance, our 8th-grade (4ème) students stepped into the spotlight for their own project: “La Voix des Savants”.
Through intensive workshops with professional actors from La Compagnie du Chemin Ordinaire @ciecheminordinaire , our students mastered the art of public speaking and collective reading. They stepped out of their comfort zones to give voice to the greatest minds:

The logic of Descartes 🧠
The courage of Simone Veil ✊
The brilliance of Marie Curie & Alan Turing 🔬
The advocacy of Malala Yousafzai 📚

By lending their voices to these visionaries, our students proved that they are ready to think for themselves and shape the world of tomorrow. 🌍🗣️

A Heartfelt Global Recognition for IFS in Paris 🏆

We are honored to receive the “Opening to the Host Country” Palm at the 2026 Palmes de l’EFE, under the Patronage of the French President! 🇫🇷✨

Our award-winning project, “Encounters from the Heart,” led by Mr. Gan, our dedicated Mandarin teacher, isn’t just about community service, it’s about heart.

Developed and sustained over the past three years, Mr. Gan’s initiative has allowed our 10th-grade students to step out of the classroom and into the Singaporean community, building authentic connections with local seniors through arts, dance, and heartfelt conversations. 🇸🇬

From arts and crafts to dancing, our students have been learning the true meaning of empathy and respect (敬老尊贤) alongside our wonderful Singaporean elders.

To gear up for the big splash, our talented 4ème students have been hard at work. Using their imagination and a vibrant palette of colors, they’ve designed stunning posters and signage for the event. Their creations beautifully blend aquatic themes with iconic Singaporean symbols, celebrating both the sport and our incredible host city.

Krabi: Where Earth’s past meets our future. 🌍✨

Our 1ère SVT students spent an incredible week in Thailand, turning complex geological theories into real-world discoveries!

Highlights of the #Krabi2026 Level Trip: 🔍 Reading the Rocks: Investigating karst landscapes to trace millions of years of geological evolution. 🌿 EDD Focus: Analyzing the contrast between intensive monocultures and traditional eco-farming, and exploring the power of mangroves. 🧗 Adventure: Rock climbing, hiking, and canoeing through one of the most beautiful ecosystems on Earth.

Science is better when you’re standing on the evidence! Proud of our young scientists for reflecting on their environmental impact while conquering the cliffs of Krabi. 🛶⛰️

From the classrooms of Singapore to the international rugby stage 🇫🇷🏉

IFS Class of 2018 alumnus Luca Mignot is building an inspiring dual journey, as a professional rugby player with Rugby Club Massy Essonne, part of the France men’s national rugby sevens team training squad, and as a Project Manager at Réseau DEF.

Luca discovered rugby sevens during his time at IFS, a turning point that shaped his future. Since then, dedication, discipline and determination have led him to major milestones, including European Champion and MVP honors.

Beyond performance, his story is one of balance: combining elite sport with professional responsibility, proving that ambition does not have to be limited to one path.
“L’IFS m’a ouvert l’esprit et m’a montré que mon avenir pouvait être international.”

To our current students, Luca shares a simple but powerful message:

Cultural & Linguistic Exchange at IFS 🌍🤝

At the end of January 2026, we were delighted to welcome 16 students and their teacher from the American School of Singapore to our campus for a meaningful cultural and linguistic exchange with our community at the International French School.

This visit was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another through shared activities, discussions, and intercultural experiences. The exchange fostered open-mindedness, curiosity, and meaningful connections between our two school communities.
We are proud to have supported this enriching initiative, which strengthened international understanding and encouraged dialogue through education.

🏓 Primary Ping Pong Tournament Highlights! 🏆✨

From February 2nd to 10th, our CM1 and CM2 students brought energy, focus, and fantastic sportsmanship to the table during the Primary Ping Pong Tournament, held during the lunch break!

Organised by Omar Benyoucef, this friendly yet competitive tournament gave students the opportunity to challenge themselves, improve their skills, and most importantly, enjoy meaningful moments together beyond the classroom.

Throughout the week, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, determination, and cheers from fellow classmates. The tournament concluded with a prize ceremony celebrating our talented winners and all participants who showed commitment and fair play. 👏

Our Primary School Principal, Mr. Christophe Cailton, was present to congratulate the students and personally hand the medals to the winners.

A big thank you to Omar for creating such a dynamic and engaging sporting experience for our students!

Our students are proving that sport and solidarity go hand in hand. 💪🌏

Across different PROZAP competitions in Asia and grade levels, students are combining athletic achievement with meaningful community action through Student Life Council (Conseil de Vie Lycéenne) projects, in collaboration with Terminale students from the Humanitarian Group.

Ahead of their trips to Laos, Cambodia and other countries in the region, collections of equipment, clothing and school supplies have been organised. Each delegation travels with bags filled with donations, which are delivered to AEFE schools and then distributed to local charities selected by our Head of Student Life (Conseiller Principal d’Éducation) team.

A heartfelt thank you to M. Porro from Francoasia for his generous donation of school supplies, as well as to our families, students and PE teachers Nordine Talhi (@coach_nono69 ) and Loïc Kavala.

A special mention to Isabelle and Teresa, two of our students, for their unwavering commitment and support throughout these projects!

Through PROZAP, our students are not only competing, they are making a difference. 🤝✨
