A Festive Piñata Celebration at IFS! 🎉🇪🇸

In December, our students at IFS enjoyed a joyful and colorful Piñata Event, bringing a touch of Spanish and Latin American tradition into our school community.

Organised with our 4emes students and led by Mrs Da Silva, the event took place alongside Mrs Alvarez and Mrs Rodríguez Valero, creating moments filled with laughter, excitement, and shared cultural discovery.

Beyond the fun, this event was a meaningful learning experience. Through the piñata tradition, students explored its historical origins, its place in Spanish and Latin American celebrations, and the values it represents: sharing, cooperation, patience, and community spirit. Learning by doing allowed our students to better understand culture in a concrete and joyful way, proving that learning is most powerful when it is playful 🎓

A big thank you to our teachers and students for making this event such a memorable experience. Moments like these truly bring learning to life! 💫🎊

Back to School 2026 – Welcome back to IFS! ✨🎒

The IFS campus is buzzing again, smiles are back, classrooms are alive, and the year has officially begun!

After a well-deserved break, we return refreshed, inspired, bringing with us all the joy, warmth, and festive spirit of the end-of-year celebrations to kick-start 2026 with energy and enthusiasm.

This back-to-school moment also carries a very special meaning for us: we are proud to warmly welcome new families joining the IFS community this January. Our dedicated staff is fully committed to supporting them and ensuring they feel at home from day one.

And this beginning of the year is already shaping up to be an exciting and busy time!
🏅 Sport with major highlights ahead: the CAPN competition hosted at IFS in March, as well as PROZAP Rugby and Football events.
📚 Academics with conferences and PEAC projects our students have been deeply engaged in.
🎨 Arts & creativity, continuing to flourish across the school.
🌍 Experiential learning beyond the classroom, with enriching extracurricular activities, discovery outings, and an upcoming school trip to Bintan, offering our students unique opportunities to explore, connect, and learn in a different environment.

Learning Sustainability Through Action ♻️🌍

As part of their Civic Education project on Sustainable Development (EMC – EDD), five Terminale students led an inspiring initiative with two CE1 classes 💚
Their goal?

👉 Raise awareness about recycling and reusing paper in a fun and hands-on way!
During these workshops, paper waste collected from the school’s recycling bins was transformed into recycled paper, giving it a second life ✨

The students also created beautiful Christmas decorations, combining creativity with environmental responsibility 🎄

A wonderful example of collaboration, peer learning, and eco-conscious action, proving that even small gestures can make a big difference 🌱

👏 Well done to our Terminale students Noémie, Audrey, Thomas, Emma and Celeste for their commitment and to our CE1 students for their enthusiasm!

Education for Sustainable Development Project (EDD) 🌍

During the weeks of November 20 and 27, our CE2 students took part in an awareness project focused on fast fashion and its environmental impact.
Through interactive discussions and activities, students learned what fast fashion is and how it affects our planet. They also explored more responsible alternatives, such as reusing clothes, swapping items, and shopping second-hand, encouraging them to reflect on their own consumption habits.
This project helped our students develop critical thinking and a sense of responsibility, empowering them to become more conscious and sustainable consumers from a young age. ♻️

Christmas Shows 2025: Magical Moments to Close the Year ✨🎄

What a beautiful way to end the year for our kindergarten and primary school students! 💫
Our Christmas shows were filled with emotion, joy, togetherness, and pride — a true celebration of the IFS spirit.
Our students worked with passion and dedication to deliver unforgettable performances for their families 🎭👧👦. These magical moments, shared together, will remain precious memories for everyone.

As the year comes to an end, we reflect on an intense and rewarding term: class projects, the Walkathon, Christmas concerts, and Christmas shows. Every member of our community gave their best 🌟

A Night of Connection, Inspiration & Community ✨
What a pleasure it was to welcome our alumni back to IFS for our Alumni Gathering at the 3C!

Alumni from different graduating classes — from 2014 to 2025 — came together to reconnect over drinks and light refreshments, share memories, and exchange stories about their academic and professional journeys since leaving IFS.

The evening continued with a meaningful moment of exchange between our current IFS students and alumni. Through open and inspiring conversations, our students gained valuable insights into:

Celebrating Intergenerational Connection at IFS 💫

As we come to the end of 2025, the International French School was delighted to welcome members of the Sparkle Care Community Foundation (Senior Care Centre) to our campus as part of a shared project promoting inclusion and community connection.

Our young students filled the school with joy as they sang Christmas songs in French, English, and Mandarin, creating a truly moving moment for our elderly guests. The visit also included a tour of our new campus, with time spent exploring the kindergarten playground, visiting our villas to see our youngest learners in action, and discovering the brand new library.

This beautiful encounter reminded us how powerful it is to bring generations together. Moments like these foster empathy, kindness, and a strong sense of belonging, values that lie at the heart of IFS. Caring for and engaging with our local community enriches everyone involved, young and old alike.

IFS Climbing Team Shines at PROZAP in Ho Chi Minh City! 🧗‍♂️🏆

Our IFS Climbing Team made us proud once again at the PROZAP Climbing Competition in Ho Chi Minh City! The High School team finished 1st, while Middle School Teams 1 and 2 claimed the top two spots on the podium.

Six IFS teams, each composed of 2 girls and 2 boys, gave their all on 16m high difficulty routes, challenging blocks, acrobatic moves, and speed climbing walls.

With 136 participants from 6 delegations across the region, the competition was intense and spectacular over three action-packed days. A huge thanks to Julie and the entire HCMC team for their warm welcome, flawless organization, and amazing climbing facilities, this second edition was a great success!

Our coaches are incredibly proud: the older students led by example, and the younger ones proved that the next generation of climbers is ready to take over. 👏💪
