Adventure into the Heart of the Jungle! 🌿

Our students from the wildlife & biodiversity group went on an unforgettable expedition to Malaysia! Discovering the stunning landscapes of Bako National Park in Borneo Island, our young explorers dived deep into one of the world’s richest biodiversity hotspots.

Accompanied by expert guides, they spent their days (and nights!) trekking through the wild to observe incredible flora and fauna.
Spotting the iconic Proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat.
Encountering a variety of reptiles, colorful frogs, and busy crabs along the shorelines.
Capturing stunning shots of rare species to document the region’s unique ecosystem.
Developing a deep awareness of the need to protect ALL of nature and understanding the extreme fragility of our planet’s biodiversity.

This wasn’t just a trip, our students traded the classroom for a hands-on lesson in conservation and nature’s wonders. 🐍🐒 Check out some of their best shots! 📸

The bridge between primary and middle school is such an important milestone! 🚀

We were thrilled to welcome the CM2 (Grade 5) students from La Petite École for a special “Live my life… as a 6ème student” immersion day. 🏫

Paired with their IFS buddies, they dove straight into the middle school experience:
📝 Tackling mythology-inspired composition exercises.
🏀 Joining French, English, and PE classes.
🍱 Discovering the secondary canteen (a major highlight!).

It was wonderful to see the confidence building as they navigated new routines and made new connections. A huge thank you to La Petite École for visiting us, we were so impressed by your students’ curiosity and spirit! 🌟

A Night of Wonder at the Science Centre! 🌟🚀

Our Kindergarten students experienced an extraordinary 24-hour adventure at the Singapore Science Centre! From afternoon until morning, our little explorers traded their classrooms for a world of discovery, and even slept over! 😴✨

It was a journey filled with awe, laughter, and hands-on learning:
🎨 Creative Science: our students tapped into their artistic side by making « Glow-in-the-Dark » charms. They were fascinated to watch their drawings shrink and harden right before their eyes using heat, science is like magic!
🚀 Blast Off! Our budding engineers built and launched their very own Fizzy Rockets. Using a bit of chemistry (citric acid and baking soda), they watched their creations soar into the air!
💦 Splashing Fun: To burn off some energy, they headed to the water playground for a soak-tastic time! It was pure joy and giggles all around.

Everything was perfectly organized, from their neatly packed suitcases to the sleepover setup. A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers and the @sciencecentresg staff for their warm welcome and for making sure every student felt safe, happy, and well-fed throughout the trip.

They arrived back at school this with hearts full of memories. These are the unique experiences that make learning at IFS so special!

Diplomacy on the Pitch! ⚽

As part of the 5th edition of the #RelaisAutourDuMonde, our students took to the pitch to face off against H.E. @stephen_march , French Ambassador to Singapore, and his team in a spirit of friendly football match and “Sports Diplomacy.”

This event, organized by @francediplo_en, highlights the power of sport to bring people together. Beyond the goals, it was a fantastic moment of exchange and fun for our school community. 🤝

Highlights from our beautiful Hari Raya celebration at IFS last Thursday! 🌙✨

From vibrant traditional outfits to the delicious aromas of our special Hari Raya lunch, the spirit of “sharing, solidarity, and togetherness” was everywhere. 🤝

Our students had a blast at the Green Corner and Elementary canteen booths: Creating geometric patterns on hanging decorations. Crafting Middle Eastern inspired lanterns. 🏮Learning the art of Ketupat weaving. 🌿 Exploring Arabic calligraphy. ✍️ Playing traditional Malay games. 🎮 Sharing heart-warming notes on the Kindness Wall.💌

The CAPN 2026 at IFS has officially come to an end. From the first dive on Tuesday to the final sprint on Friday, the atmosphere has been nothing short of electric. We saw our student-athletes push their limits, celebrate each other’s victories, and above all, have the time of their lives. 💙

What a fantastic Sports Day for our CP classes! 🌟

Energy levels: 100%! ⚡️From soaring through the air in jumps to showing off their agility on the parkour & wall climbing course, our little athletes had an absolute blast. They practiced their aim with frisbee throws and bocce, worked as a team in dodgeball, and had a literal “feeding frenzy” playing Hungry Hippo! 🦛

So proud of their sportsmanship and smiles . It wasn’t just about the competition; it was about discovering new skills and having fun together.

March was a busy and inspiring month for our parent community at IFS! ☕️✨

We held three Café Parents sessions, bringing parents together to share experiences, gain expert insights, and support one another. Here is a look back at our recent gatherings:

🗓️ March 10th: Navigating the Essentials Managing school paperwork can be a challenge! This session helped parents demystify administrative jargon, understand key acronyms, and navigate IFS-specific procedures.
A huge thank you to the Parent Commission, Mme Mathias (Secondary School), and Marie (Occupational Therapist) for their valuable guidance.

🗓️ March 20th: Nutrition for Teens A deep dive into adolescent health and debunking common myths. Parents exchanged practical tips on how to fuel our teens for success.
Special thanks to the Parent Commission and Dorothée (Dietitian & Nutritionist) for leading this insightful discussion!

🗓️ March 25th: Supporting Special Educational Needs A dedicated session on helping children with dyslexia (reading), dyscalculia (numbers), and dyspraxia (writing). A morning filled with concrete tools for home support.
Grateful for the expertise of: Pauline (Speech-Language Therapist), Blandine (Educational Therapist), and Angélique (Graphotherapist & Parent Commission member).

🤝 Community Matters A massive thank you to our Parent Commission and all the experts who volunteered their time to make these events possible. We love seeing our community grow stronger together!

Coffee, Croissants, and Community Building ☕🥐

We were delighted to host students from the @moelc_official (Ministry of Education Language Centre) at IFS! 🇸🇬🇫🇷

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to build bridges through language and culture. Our guests enjoyed an insightful tour of the campus, followed by a convivial breakfast where students from both horizons could connect, share experiences, and practice their French in a relaxed atmosphere.

Seeing such passion for the French language within the Singaporean community is always a highlight for us. These exchanges are a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering strong ties within the local educational landscape. 🤝✨

The adventure continues! On March 30th, 2026, it will be our students’ turn to experience the same immersion as they visit other Singaporean schools alongside their MOELC partners. Various activities and awareness actions will also be taking place in classrooms and during breaks to celebrate this collaboration. 🚌🎒
