An Unforgettable Cultural Journey to Vietnam! 🇻🇳

For the first time this year, our Seconde students embarked on a memorable trip to Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, a brand-new destination for students at IFS!

From exploring the bustling streets of Saigon through a fun city scavenger hunt, to visiting the War Museum and the local Market, every moment was a chance to discover Vietnam’s rich history and culture.

They learned how to cook authentic Vietnamese dishes 👩‍🍳, took part in food tastings, and even practiced Viet Vo Dao. 🥋

Students also attended an inspiring conference on the role of women in Vietnamese history and society, deepening their understanding of the country’s social culture.

In the Mekong Delta, our students navigated the mangroves by boat and bicycle, met local schoolchildren, and enjoyed beautiful moments of music and cultural exchange in Vinh Long.🚲

A journey filled with discovery, connection, and unforgettable memories! 💛

Discovering the Colors and Culture of Little India 🇮🇳 🪔

Ahead of Deepavali, our CE2 students set out on a vibrant learning journey through Little India, right here in Singapore!

Following a cultural trail, they explored the colorful streets, visited the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, admired stunning murals, and wandered through the bustling market filled with spices and flowers. 🌸🌶️

Along the way, they learned about Hindu gods and traditions, asked questions to locals and temple monks, and observed the many symbols and statues that tell the story of Indian heritage. 🕉️

Their adventure ended near the Indian Heritage Centre, where they gathered materials and reflections for their activity booklet, a perfect way to connect classroom learning with real-world discovery. 🕌✏️

A poetic and ecological tale at IFS 🌿

Our Amphitheatre became a stage for imagination and reflection as students from CE1 to CM2, parents, and staff attended “L’Enfant de l’Arbre”, a theatrical and musical tale by the Compagnie Lé La. 🎭

This visual, poetic, and philosophical story follows a young boy who lives in harmony with his tree, until the water runs out. On a quest to save his friend, he journeys into the world of humans and, through his innocent eyes, questions the paradoxes and absurdities of our modern society. 💧

Through music, movement, and storytelling, the play offered our students a moment of beauty, wonder, and reflection on the fragile bond between humanity and nature. 🌱

Democracy, Right from Primary School! 🗳️

At IFS, democracy isn’t just taught, it’s practiced. Recently, our CM2 students conducted their own class delegate elections, putting into action one of the core values of French education: engagement and representation. 💬

Through public speaking and debate, our young learners discovered what it means to listen, convince, and collaborate, all while practicing democratic citizenship in action. 🤝

Discovering, Learning, and Growing Together in Malaysia! 🇲🇾

Our 1st group of 5th-grade students have returned from an unforgettable educational trip to Malaysia, a journey filled with exploration, learning, and teamwork! 💫

During their stay, they:
🏖️ Cleaned a beach and took part in activities promoting environmental awareness.
🌿 Explored the mangrove and learned about Malaysia’s rich flora and fauna.
🎨 Wove baskets from palm leaves and discovered traditional Malaysian games such as Congkak, Chapteh, and rope jumping.
🏛️ Visited a museum, deepening their understanding of local history and culture.
🥁 Spent a day with local students, sharing experiences and learning to play traditional Malaysian instruments together.
🏊‍♂️ Took part in an aquathlon, fostering teamwork and perseverance.

This journey beautifully combined classroom learning and real-world experience, helping students expand their global understanding while strengthening friendships and team spirit.

A meaningful adventure where learning goes beyond books, and memories last a lifetime. 💡

Humanitarian Club at IFS: A New Year of Commitment

31 Terminales students officially joined the IFS Humanitarian Club for the 2025–2026 school year.
For these students, this commitment is especially meaningful: as it is their final year at IFS, they are seizing the opportunity to live one last enriching experience, marked by solidarity and engagement. 💙

During their first meeting, students:
🤝 Reflected on causes they wish to support
📝 Designed an action plan for projects throughout the year
👥 Formed working groups to bring their ideas to life, under the guidance of their teacher

It was inspiring to see their energy and determination to make a difference, both within our community and beyond. At IFS, we are proud to see our students so engaged in shaping meaningful projects and taking responsibility for positive change. 🌟

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 🌕

At IFS, our youngest learners in Moyenne Section celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with joy and creativity! They proudly paraded to showcase their beautiful lanterns and festive creations, before tasting the mooncakes they had carefully prepared, and even discovering tea and the sweet flavour of pomelo! 🍊🥮

Through this celebration, our kindergarten students explored local traditions, culinary experiences, and artistic expression, a wonderful way to learn with all their senses. 💛
