As part of its language policy, the International French School (Singapore) offers language certificates in English, French, Mandarin, German and Spanish.
INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM: IELTS
The IELTS is an international English language proficiency test jointly managed by the British Council and the Australian organisation IDP Education.
This test is recognised worldwide and grants or eases access to English-speaking universities, in particular the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. It is also recognised by academic institutions in France.
This test is offered to all 1ère (grade 11) students and is paid for by the school.

MANDARIN LANGUAGE CERTIFICATE: HSK
The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is recognised worldwide and is designed by the Education Ministry of the People’s Republic of China.
At the International French School (Singapore), the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) is offered students in 6ème (grade 6) and the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) test is offered to students in 2nde (grade 10).
Registration Fees
The school offers to support students in the registration process and pays the registration fees.
How to Register?
You must complete the registration form, return it to the Mandarin teacher and attach a copy of your passport.

DIPLOMA OF SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: DEFE
The Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language are official diplomas of Spanish language proficiency issued by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
They are recognised worldwide by private companies, chambers of commerce and public and private school systems.
How to register?
You should fill out the registration form and return it duly completed to your Spanish teacher and attach a copy of your passport.

GERMAN LANGUAGE CERTIFICATE: GOETHE-ZERTIFIKAT
The certificate follows the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
To better prepare for this examination, preparation courses for B1 level are offered in school.
Students can choose to register for others levels but those fees will be borne by the family. These courses will be given by a professor from the Goethe-Institut in the school premises.
