DESCRIPTION:EVENT OVERVIEW: \nThe International French School (IFS) presents a lecture on History and Transformations of Antisemitism\, led by the Mémorial de la Shoah. \nIn a complex geopolitical context\, understanding the foundations of antisemitism can be challenging. This lecture aims to shed light on this deadly ideology\, its historical roots\, and its evolution over time. \nAntisemitism\, a form of discrimination present since Antiquity\, has survived in many different forms. It has been strikingly persistent throughout history—first in the Mediterranean\, then in Europe\, before spreading globally. The Jewish people have endured murderous acts\, as well as social\, political\, and cultural discrimination. \nDespite the tragedy of the 20th century\, the Holocaust perpetrated by Nazi Germany\, antisemitism has not disappeared.
